Election Science 2008

I was going to write a really long post today about where each of the Presidential and Vice Presidential candidates stand on the advancement of scientific research. But I got really depressed about halfway through (see if you can guess at which point that was) and couldn’t bring myself to finish. It’s bad enough that we’ve had eight years of dealing with the Bush Administration and their tendency to ignore, stifle, and play grab ass with scientific research. But now we’re facing the possibility of even darker days ahead.

So instead of going through the painful details, I came up with a little graphic which gives you an allegorical taste of where science will go in the next four years, depending on who gets elected.
