University of Utah geologists have found an interesting concentration of dinosaur footprints that they are calling “a dinosaur dance floor.” It’s located on the Arizona-Utah border, which was a desert oasis 190 million years ago when the dino hoedown took place.
There are over 1,000 footprints and tail drags in the area, from many different kinds of dinosaurs. There are so many markings that geologists say it feels like you’re playing DDR when you try to step from footprint to footprint.
“Get out there and try stepping in their footsteps, and you feel like you are playing the game Dance Dance Revolution that teenagers dance on,” said Marjorie Chan, professor and chair of geology and geophysics at the University of Utah.
If you’re having a hard time imagining what dinosaurs…I’m sorry, I just got this image of elderly geologists playing DDR in my head and it’s kind of bugging me out. Maybe if I share it with you it’ll go away.

There that’s better.
Where was I? Oh yeah. If you’re having a hard time imagining what dinosaurs looked like when they danced, go here. But only if you don’t value your sanity.
