Space Stench
In case anybody was wondering…apparently outer space smells like steak.
NASA is reporting that astronauts say they smell fried steak on their suits when they return from spacewalks. Fried steak mixed with hot metal and motorbike welding, to be exact. Sounds like the taste of a McDonald’s hamburger to me.
Some experts say that space is a vaccum filled with nothingness and therefore can have no aroma, and that the smell must be coming from the way the astronauts’ suits react with space.
I however, have a different theory…
